Detroit firefighters found heavy fire as they approached the area.

Detroit firefighters battled a massive blaze in a five-story apartment building 

Crews found heavy fire showing as they approached the area. Additional resources were requested as the flames spread.

Firefighters remained at the scene Wednesday morning.
